We all know that shopping for motorcycle parts can get out of hand especially when you are on a tight budget so whether to buy OEM or AFTERMARKET bike parts can be a daunting choice to make.
There is alot of cut throat competition when it comes to motorcycle products, thats why you need to examine and actually put effort into finding the one part that you are looking to purchase. If you are coming across crappy parts, dont be afraid to search through the OEM prices, you can still find good deals from all the companies out there that are selling at just a little above dealer costs. You would rather spend the few extra bucks getting the better product then getting a product that will end up destroying something else MORE COSTLY down the road . . . that there are NO aftermarket parts for. Those are the words you dont want to hear. If you hear ” I’m sorry sir / mam but actually no one carries an aftermarket product for that model. ” THEN YOU HAVE PROBLEMS, because the dealer KNOWS that there arent any other options and they are going to give it to you where it counts . . . RIGHT IN THE . . . wallet.
So all in all it really just boils down to, what type of motorcycle product you are looking to purchase. Also what you are looking to do, are you trying to replace something or improve your bike. Either case you will have to consider a few factors such as whether or not that particular motorcycle product is even available, your budget, and if any one even carries that product or if you will have to wait weeks for an internet purchase. But which ever your choice you should always see what else is out there before you buy that one motorcycle part.
