It seems these days that people are spending their money on more and more ridiculous things. One of the latest crazes, originating from Japan, is that of pocket bikes. What are pocket bikes you might ask? Well they are actually just a little mini motorcycle that people use for recreation and/or racing. At first look, you might not think it, but they are actually fully functional motorcycles. Even though you may look ridiculous writing them they are actually quite fast. Depending on the size of the engine they can get over 60 mph. And what’s even better is that they are pretty cheap compared to full-size bikes. You can get pocket bikes in all different shapes and sizes. Their engine sizes range from as small as 49cc to around 110cc for the racing variety. Depending on what you will be using them for, the smaller size or the larger size might be best. When you do finally get your own pocket bike, you need to make sure that you are very careful. In most states and countries pocket bikes aren’t really street legal. These “super” pocket bikes, or pocket rockets, are extremely modified minibikes that have been souped-up for more power and speed. Obviously they are only for people that can afford to pay out the price it takes for such a powerful machine. They can range from as little as five grand to over 15 grand depending on the make and manufacturer and who is doing the modifications.

If you want to buy a pocket bike without much effort you can try one of the many online stores that sell pocket bikes today. Just watch out for cheap manufacturers and low quality parts that some of these stores have in stock. If you can try to go with a Italian model versus a Chinese model. Not that Chinese models are always bad its just that Italian manufacturers generally produce higher quality bikes.
